What I really fear about JW.ORG

much has been written, twitted and youtubed about the extent to which the wtbts may go in order to keep its members from peeking out of the box.

from name calling, constantly telling members about the dangers of apostasy, all the way to dfing anyone who dares to look outside.

many tools and theories have been brought forward.

According to a JW I've spoken to, who overheard a private conversation between some elders, the organisation is working on setting up THEIR OWN INTERNET SERVICE. One reason given by an elder was so that the website can't be blocked. He can't give any more details, he only heard part of what was said, but he is 100% trustworthy and I know he wouldn't have made it up.

What could be another reason behind this move?..

considering the fact that the wt society refuses to release in courts any of it's written directions to elders through confidential letters to elder bodies- i thought i'd do the courts and wt society a "favor " by posting excerpts from this oct 1st.

these instructions are very exposing of the negligence of wt authorities in how they view the seriousness of felony child abuse.

Very interesting eyewitness account from the High court, from an article on Jwsurvey:

" On the day I attended, Watchtower produced a witness who was an expert in his field of working with children. He began by trying not to answer direct questions put to him by the Barrister. Eventually, the Judge intervened and told him he had to answer the questions directly.

He was asked if saying sorry and showing repentance was good enough when it comes to child abusers. He gave an honest answer and explained that pedophiles are like alcoholics and drug addicts. Once they offend it is very unlikely that they will ever stop.

The defence Watchtower was using was that Stewart was removed as a ministerial servant and this was announced from the platform. A few weeks later a talk was given from the platform concerning improper behaviour. Watchtower felt this was enough of a warning to the congregation as it should have been obvious this talk was being given about Stewart.

Watchtower’s own expert was questioned on this, and asked whether this was indeed sufficient action. Of course, he had to answer honestly and say, “no.”

"teachers, councillors and social workers in england and wales who fail to protect children could face up to five years in jail under new proposals.. the new measures, being unveiled by the prime minister, would see the crime of "wilful neglect" extended to cover children's social care and education.. there would also be unlimited fines for individuals and organisations shown to have let children down.".

when they so cleverly predicted to us all that the world would turn against them, something that has not happened despite over a 100 years of taunting power and opposing religious figures, now it is likely to begin, they failed to mention that it would be due to rampant paedophilia in 'gods earthly organisation'.what a wholesome enviroment to grow up in and raise a child.. we have heard it said many times here that the jw's won't last as they are so entrenched in trends, so opposite to modern human progress, culture and society, they stand out as more extremist and inhumane by the year, mocked regularly in the media now.

Does anyone agree with me, that the timing of this news release is pretty bad for the org?

In the last 2 days there have been 3 articles published on Jehovahs Witnesses child abuse cover-ups, and between the roughly 800,000 circulation of the Sunday Times, and however many read The Guardian and Examiner.com , potentially hundreds of thousands of people have read about the organisations failure to protect children in the last two days..

Then maybe they hear this in the news and start talking...
